How do I transfer HI8 camcorder tape to disc?
I have an old camcorder and am using Hi8 tapes how can I transfer the tapes to disc? I have got WindOWS XP on my system at home, any ideas?
You have to have a device that will play Hi8 tapes to begin with. If you do have an old camcorder or something that will play them, and has a video output jack, you then only need a way to record them on your PC.
You will need a video card in your PC with an analog video input. You will play the camcorder and record on your pc. Then you can just burn to a disc.
Or you could just take it to wal-greens or some camera store, and they can do it for you.
