How can I make a miniature ski lift for my science project? (And what tools will I need)?
I'm not sure exactly which tools you'll need, but I'm pretty sure they're going to have to be miniature tools!
Seriously though - you're going to need something to drive the lift. I would suggest a small 5V electric motor (ask your teachers, they should be able to get these from your science or electronics labs), a battery to power the motor, and a system of gears so your ski-lift doesn't go supersonic.
You can make a simple gear system using lego or something similar. The electric motor will spin extremely fast, so this is essential.
To be honest, the entire thing could be made out of Lego. If this isn't suitable, I would recommend making a Lego prototype first, and this will give you a good idea of what you need for the final product.
